Central Albany Revitalization Area Signage and Wayfinding System.
The wayfinding / signage programs defines the historic downtown of the City of Albany, Oregon. Albany is located in the Willamette Valley at the confluence of the Calapooia River and the Willamette River in both Linn and Benton counties, just east of Corvallis and south of Salem. It is predominantly a farming and manufacturing city that settlers founded around 1848.
An effective urban signage and wayfinding program is tested by the ease with which visitors/ shoppers are able to navigate through the area. The comprehensive system links all areas of the downtown together and forms a visual graphic language throughout the historic downtown area.
Bellevue, Washington new signage and wayfinding master plan was developed for the City of Bellevue, Washington.
The new wayfinding program has been designed to define the city’s boundaries and establish a sense of place. The sign program reinforces Bellevue’s rich history and reflects the community’s future vision through the use of graphic district icons, regional colors, and graphic pattern.
A visual identity has been created in this urban environment.
The comprehensive signage / wayfinding standards and guidelines were developed for the downtown business district for this community located at the gateway to Mt. Hood.
The sign program defines the CBD boundaries & provides clear vehicular & pedestrian wayfinding to public parking & major destinations.
The system has been designed to utilize existing city light standards and sign poles for installation of the new signs.
The architectural team prepared a master plan and redevelopment strategy for a 250-acre civic park located in the heart of Springfield, Missouri. Ambrosini Design developed a comprehensive exterior environmental graphic system in conjunction with a signage and wayfinding program. Site identifiers, pedestrian wayfinding, trail identifiers, map directories, a seasonal and permanent banner system and historical plaques were implemented within this urban park.
